The Federal Lab Consortium annouced today that the WMD Simulant Technology developed under the CASTK Program and licensed by Modec has been received a 2010 Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer by the Federal Lab Consortium.
The nomination is based upon the ability to rapidly implement production and commercially selling and marketing the newly licensed simulant from Edgewood Chemical BIological Center. The CASTK Program is lead by Dr. Jim Genovese of ECBC.
Modec, Inc. is a multiple license holder of the federal governement for consequence management tools for CBRN applications. Established in 1987, Modec is the leading provider of decontamination solutions and apparatus.
