November 2008. Modec received approval from the USEPA for use of its MDF-500 against Norovirus (commonly known as Norwalk virus) under FIFRA. The Modec Decon Formulation efficacy has been proven under independent AOAC test methodologies. Unlike other three-part competing products registered as general disinfectants, binary MDF-500 has been proven effective against a myriad of pathogenic organisms. MDF-500 is a proven two-part virucide, fungicide, bactericide, and antibacterial Disinfectant/Decontaminant proven to be effective in the presence of 5% serum contamination.
